FOUR REASONS WHY I LOVE WIX WEBSITE BUILDER
There’s so much advice around about which website platform you should and shouldn’t use. It can often feel overwhelming. I know because once-upon-a-time I was in the same boat.
I had zero tech knowledge and was relying on a developer to look after my website and make any little change I needed - which resulted in huge delays and massive frustration.
So, I took matters in my own hands and tried all the platforms out there. I experimented, practiced and learned a hell of a lot.
In my opinion, Wix is a great platform for small businesses and solo-preneurs. Yep, I found and fell in love with the platform and am now a Wix Pro with Icon status - which means I’ve built over 100 websites and know what I’m talking about!
Now, let me tell you. Wix is not the daggy platform you might be thinking it is. You actually can build some amazing websites. I’ll share more below.

It’s easy to use
Wix’s drag and drop builder makes building a website a breeze. No coding required, which for you and I means we can easily do it ourselves #nodeveloperneeded
You have total creative control
Wix’s editor is fully customisable and not templated. Which means you have total creative control unlike other drag and drop platforms like Squarespace. Because of this, you can recreate a lot of fab designs that are most likely custom developed.
It has great SEO
Yes it’s true, Wix’s SEO had a major upgrade a few years ago. The thing to keep in mind about SEO is that it’s only as good as the user - meaning if you don’t know what you are doing then you are not going to do as good a job as someone who knows their stuff. Obviously. Which is why people think Wix’s SEO is not up to scratch because a lot of it’s users are beginners and don’t know what they are doing.
Don’t worry Wix has you covered and if you don’t know your SEO from your domain, Wix has an SEO Wiz you can work through and will guide you along.
Great range of apps
Wix has an awesome range of free apps and paid apps. Which means you can add a lot of great features to your website and can just about come up with a work around for every problem you need to solve.
No worrying about being hacked or your website breaking
Who’s got time (or knowledge) to run software updates and worry about website security? With platforms such as Wordpress that is definitely something you need to be on top of because, yes, people do get hacked and websites can break. But, Wix takes care of all that software tech stuff so we don’t need to #bigwin

While Wix isn’t for everyone (ecommerce and bigger brands may need more functionality than what Wix offers) it is well suited to smaller businesses who have a smaller budget and want a platform that doesn’t require a PhD in web development to update.
